Welcome back to Transformational Tuesdays!

It’s that time of the week when we just talk about — you guessed it! — Transformation.

Here’s the deal: all my posts and content are inspired by what’s running across my radar that week, what’s going on for myself, what conversations I’m having. What I see people around me going through.

And a topic that keeps coming up for me this week is this idea of “supposed to.”

I mean, the way we are “supposed to” do something.

Or the way we are “supposed to” look.

Or doing steps 1, 2, 3, 4, and this is how you get there.

The problem with “supposed to” is that we are all individuals.

So if I’m looking to you for my lead, your way may not be the way that my heart is calling me.

But we get nervous, we feel uncertain, we feel vulnerable. And so we might look to others for answers.

Now, this might seem a bit hypocritical of me to talk about, because I’m a life coach who basically tells others what they need to do in order to come out the best versions of themselves.

But if you’ve ever been coached by me, you know that I don’t give you the answers.

I help you find your own answers within yourself.

The same goes for me — over the past year I’ve learned tremendously about following my own lead, having my own pace, doing my own jam, my own thing.

And the one big thing I’ve learned is that when you do your own thing, you’re being authentic and it feels right. You have a lot less resistance, and you have a lot more “aha” moments.

“Oh! That’s what I’m supposed to be doing.”

And the more you practice following your own intuition, the easier it will get.

Will it be completely smooth? No, of course not. You will still have bumps in the road, and resistance, but you’ll see that it doesn’t last as long.

The core of all this is, it doesn’t matter if somebody else is doing it a certain way.

It doesn’t matter what somebody else is going to think about it.

There is a message that’s been planted in your heart for a reason. And so you’re going to follow it.

I want you to think about this:

What are some things in your life that you’re doing because somebody else is doing them?

Or you’re trying to get approval from somebody else?

And what is that costing you?

What does it cost you to not honor your flow, and do it the way you are called to do it?

I know that for me, for a long time, it cost a lot of my freedom. And I finally got to the point that I wasn’t really willing to give up my freedom anymore.

You already know what is best for you.

You already have the answers.

If you feel like things are hard, difficult, or resistant, and you dread every time you have to do something — that might be because you’re on the wrong path.

Be careful of the thinking mind that’s going to say, “Well, I have to stay here in this situation, or do this thing, because I’m “supposed to.” I should do this, I’m supposed to do that.”

Stop “should”-ing on yourself!

There are no “shoulds”.

You get to be and do life however you want to.

It’s never too late to change. Remember, transformation is all about growing and changing. If you’re not doing that, you’re literally dying in side. And that’s probably why you might feel tired and overwhelmed and burdened.

Every single thing on this planet was meant to grow. We all grow and develop. And I’m here to encourage you to continue to do that in your life. It might seem scary, but I promise that there are so many beautiful things on the other side, just waiting for you.

Have you ever considered your vulnerability an advantage?
